OS&Y Gate Valve

Description

Model 103FF Outside Screw and Yoke (OS&Y) gate valve with resilient wedge, the stem is pre-grooved for installation of a supervisory switch. The interior & exterior have an electrostatically applied fusion – bonded epoxy coating of 0.2 – 0.5 mm as per AWWA C-550. Rapidrop 103FF OS&Y gate valve is used in a fire protection sprinkler system, the stem and stem nut are located outside of the body of the valve which makes it easy to see if the valve is open or closed. If the full length of the stem is visible then the valve is open, if the stem is not visible then the valve is closed. Rapidrop OSY2 supervisory switch is available to monitor the open or closed status of the 103FF OS&Y gate valve

OS&Y Gate Valve

Description

Cla-Val 90G-21 (globe) and 90A-21 (angle) Pressure Reducing Valves automatically reduce a higher inlet pressure to a steady lower outlet pressure regardless of changing flow rate and/or varying inlet pressure. The valves pilot control system is very sensitive to slight downstream pressure fluctuations, and will automatically open or close to maintain the desired pressure setting.

Check Valve

Description

Rapidrop Fig. 302 is a rubber faced, flanged swing type check valve that allows water flow in one direction only. A hinged clapper remains open with water flowing in one direction, and automatically closes when stops preventing backflow flow. Removable cover allows easy access for inspection and maintenance. These valves are suitable for installation in both horizontal and vertical (with the flow upwards) pipelines.

Rapidrop Fig. 302 flanged swing check valve is only available with ANSI 125/150 flanges.

Potable water, sewage disposal, water distribution service & feed lines, irrigation and fire protection pipe systems.

Deluge/Control Valve

Description

The Rapidrop Control Valve is an on-off control valve which either opens or closes upon receiving an electrical signal to the solenoid pilot control. This valve consists of a 100G/2100G UL Listed Hytrol Main Valve, a three-way solenoid valve and an auxiliary pilot valve. This pilot control system alternately applies pressure to/or relieves pressure from the diaphragm chamber of the main valve. It is furnished either normally open (de-energize solenoid to open) or normally closed (energize the solenoid to open).

Landing Valve

Description

Dry riser landing valves are outlets from the riser main. The valves are situated on each floor of a high rise building and are usually housed in an outlet cabinet. Dry riser landing valves are available with PN16 inlet, Table D inlet, BSP threaded male inlet and BSP threaded female inlet. The outlets are to BS336 and come complete with cap & chain. Padlocks and straps are available on request.

An Inlet breeching valve is installed at ground level to provide a connection to the water supply. The system is usually dry and charged by the fire brigade in an emergency. DRV009 has 4 inlets which are 2 ½” male instantaneous connections to BS336 and fitted with non-return valves, a 1” drain valve, caps and chains. 4 way inlet breeching valves can be installed in the vertical or horizontal position

Y-Strainer

Description

Rapidrop Figure YSF175 Strainers filter out the dirt, rust, and other debris in the water flow protecting the valves and other equipment in the piping system.
All strainers are equipped with a flanged retainer cap which allows easy access to the stainless steel screen for cleaning.
Rapidrop Figure YSF175 Strainer should be installed horizontally with the cap facing downwards with access to remove the basket/screen.

Wet Alarm Valve

Description

Rapidrop Model E wet alarm valves are designed for use in wet pipe sprinkler installations in buildings not subject to freezing temperatures. This type of wet alarm valve is designed to automatically initiate electric or hydraulic alarm whenever there is a flow of water to one or more sprinklers. Description

A61 Test and Drain valve for sprinkler systems combines the functions of test and drain for wet sprinkler systems. A61 valves have forged brass body with chrome plate brass ball valve and PTFE seats. The valves comply with the requirements of NFPA-13, NFPA-13R and NFPA-13D. The A61 valves are single handle ball valves with three working positions. They include tamper resistant test orifice and sight glass for the visual control. Test and drain valve for sprinkler systems combines the functions of test and drain for wet sprinkler systems, complies with the requirements of NFPA-13, NFPA-13R and NFPA-13D and is FM Approved and UL Listed.
